COTSEAL

The main objective of COTSEAL is to promote SEA language teaching and materials development. To meet this goal, COTSEAL worked with members through various types of activities such as special workshops, panel discusion at AAS, newsletter, Journal of Southeast Asian Languages and conferences. COTSEAL receives financial supports from membership fees and annual contributions from eight Southeast Asian Studies centers. It also holds one conference in July in conjunction with the Southeast Asian Summer Studies Institute (SEASSI) and two business meetings every year (one at AAS in Spring and one in Summer during COTSEAL Conference in July). Information about COTSEAL is regularly posted on COTSEAL website. It also provides a forum of information exchange through “sealteach”, the online-monitored discussion group.
